New website.... v.57b....and some tunes

Ya, I know I change it a lot...I like to stay on the progressive side of things and this is an easy way to keep things fresh and after building so many of these little html goodies, it is pretty quick!  Anyways, in the two hours I spent resizing, coding, and hosting I needed something to keep me going.  Below is the playlist of new tunes I had BLARING tonight.  Hopefully there is something some of you will like or have not heard of before.  I would post an image...but all the new stuff is up on the site!

The Interrogation Room

Ok...so, I need to post more...again.  I know I have said this before, and I know I will say it again in a few weeks, but I have decided to follow up on my last question to everyone who reads this...the how-to section.  Well, I promise to expand more on that, but at the same time, I want to do a new thing...The Interrogation Room. 

This will be a series of interviews with photographers that are my friends or just some that don't mind answering some stupid questions from me AND some good ones from anyone who wants to send me some ideas!  I will try and keep it photo related, but at the same time, I also want some questions to make everyone think, laugh, and learn so if you have any suggestions on people you want me to interview and post, OR if you have question ideas, leave a comment or just email them to me.  After all that reading, I will share a quick photo from yesterday. 

This is Peyton...she was stopping in the studio for all of three minutes yesterday afternoon and I liked her look so I snapped off a couple quick shots...nothing amazing, but something to share in the slow time.  Here ya go!  - DB

This one is for the photographers...

So, how many of you keep your camera in your passenger seat?  I know, I know...I didn't either until recently and then I started seeing way more around me.  That drive home from the studio that you take every night is full of shots, but you need to look for that composition, and when you have the camera in the car, who knows what else you will see!  Recently, I was listening to some podcast interviews from studiolighting.net and also reading some other interviews and a common theme among all the photographers who's work I love was this:  shoot shoot shoot.  Simple as that...so, I am in that stage now(and should have been all along).  That's all for today...oh, and here are a few images from the past few days of having the camera sit in the car with me.  - DB

A.P.E. featured work

Well, I have recently been trying to get more commercial style work and am slowly getting some notice.  A couple weeks ago I submitted a photo/website to be considered for a gallery of commercial shooters and was chosen as one of the 300 or so photographers out of over 1,300 that entered.  All the final images are in the slideshow below that is being sent out to art directors, art buyers, and photo editors all over the country so hopefully someone likes me!  Anyways, it is great to be in this group of photographers and check out the show to see all the work!  If you click the photos, you can then link to each photographers website to see more.  Also, here is a link to the full size version and the blog.
